Tulsa, Oklahoma has a new gem in its midst — a revitalized public property that has transformed an underserved area into a vibrant community space. The city hired Progressive Trail Design in collaboration with LandPlan Consultants to design the park. A 30,000 square foot pumptrack, splash pad, playground, shaded picnic area, walking path and a multi-sports court have been added to the property, making it a hub for fun and recreation for all ages. PTD designed the pumptrack while LandPlan Consultants designed the park amenities.

The project aimed to address the lack of outdoor recreational facilities in the underserved area will see new  additions not only provide a much-needed space for exercise and play but also help bring the community together.

The pumptrack designed for riders of all skill levels, offers a challenging and exciting experience for BMX and mountain bike enthusiasts. The splash pad is a refreshing addition to Oklahoma summers, providing a fun and safe place for children to cool off and play. The playground with its varied play structures and equipment offers children a space to imagine, create and explore. Picnic areas will provide a place for families to relax and enjoy meals together.

The collaboration between Progressive Trail Design and LandPlan Consultants was instrumental in bringing this project to life. Both firms brought their collective expertise in design, planning, and project management, while the city provided crucial support and resources to make the project a reality. The result is a stunning public space that is not only beautiful but also functional and will serve the needs of the community for years to come.
