Mountain Bike Trails in the Arkansas Delta?! Heck yeah! PTD completed Phase 1 of Lakewoods Trails in the fall of 2023 and is starting phase 2 (11 miles) in 2025. The goal is about 25 miles of trails all said and done. The trails will traverse around Lake Monticello with a skills course and a loop designed with the Arkansas student mountain biking league (NICA) in mind. These trails are funded in large part by the states Recreational Trails Program  (RTP) grants kudos to the City of Monticello for seeing the value in providing more access to nature and outdoor recreation for its citizens and surrounding region!
