Meet our team! In this series we feature Whittney Faucette, truly a behind the scenes artist!
PTD: Tell us a little about your background/prior work experience.
WF: I grew up in Hot Springs, AR and moved to Fayetteville in 1998 to attend the U of A. When I graduated, I worked in the Walmart vendor world as an analyst for the next 11 years.
PTD: How did you land at PTD and describe your role?
WF: I met the Woodruffs in 2001 when I started dating my husband who has been friends with them since junior high. We have been doing life together ever since. In 2014, PTD was growing quickly, so when the need for an office manager came up, I jumped at the chance to make a big career change. I always say they rescued me from the corporate world. I like to be behind the scenes, which is what I do for PTD. I work on everything from accounting to payroll, human resources and logistics.
PTD: What is it you enjoy most about your work?
WF: The people I get to work with are by far my favorite part of the job. Everyone loves what they do, which makes it a fun work environment. I love seeing our team take their passion for the outdoors and use it to create some of the coolest projects on the planet.
PTD: What are some of the challenges?
WF: I would have to say making sure all the employees are taken care of. The needs of our crew changes daily, so they keep me on my toes for sure.
PTD: Tell us something about you that you think most folks don’t know.
WF: This is no secret for anyone that knows me, but I will hunt for seashells on the beach for hours and I start watching Hallmark Christmas movies in October every single year.
